Our Veterinarians
Dr. Daniel Hemstreet
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Hemstreet was born and raised just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, and spent eight years living and studying in Raleigh. He earned both his bachelor’s and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from North Carolina State University, where he cultivated his passion for companion animal care.
After graduation, Dr. Hemstreet worked alongside his parents at the veterinary hospital they founded before relocating to Boston in the fall of 2020. His professional interests include canine and feline ophthalmology, low-stress exam techniques, preventive medicine, and dentistry.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Hemstreet enjoys cooking, backpacking, and sailing. His ideal weekend balances outdoor adventure with quiet evenings at home with his two beloved cats, Timon and Marcel.
Dr. Antonio Monteiro
Associate Veterinarian
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Dr. Antonio moved to Orlando, Florida, at age 10. He earned his bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Central Florida and completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida.
Dr. Antonio’s clinical interests span internal medicine, dermatology, preventative care, emergency medicine, and ultrasonography. He takes pride in tailoring treatment plans that reflect each pet’s unique health needs and family dynamics.
In his personal time, Dr. Antonio enjoys boxing, reading outdoors, making lattes, and exploring Boston with his chocolate Labrador, Kenai.
Dr. Jane Dreske
Associate Veterinarian
A Massachusetts native, Dr. Dreske earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a concentration in Neuroscience and Behavior from Assumption College. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University and completed her clinical training at Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Dreske has a special interest in ophthalmology, preventive medicine, and dentistry, and is known for her gentle, thoughtful approach to patient care. She’s passionate about client education and helping families make confident, informed decisions.
When she’s not caring for animals, Dr. Dreske enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends, family, and her beloved “coconut retriever,” Charlie.
